In Chile's Maule Valley, the País grape thrives in a Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights, rooted in diverse soils ranging from granite to clay. Historically overlooked, País has found new expression through natural winemaking, capturing the essence of its environment.
Viticulture:
The vineyards are cultivated organically, with old, ungrafted País vines that benefit from the region's dry farming practices. These methods promote biodiversity and result in low yields of concentrated, high-quality fruit.
Winemaking:
Grapes are hand-harvested, directly pressed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes natural secondary fermentation in the bottle (pétillant naturel method) without added sulfites, and is bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its authentic character.
Tasting Notes:
This rosé pét-nat presents bright citrus and sour candy aromas, leading to a yeasty, fruit-rich palate. Its natural effervescence and vibrant acidity make it a refreshing, lively wine.
