Château Haut-Meyreau is one of our own châteaux in Bordeaux, the one Hugues Laborde runs as something of a laboratory for the whole Invindia portfolio. L'Éclat is the barrel-aged expression of their Entre-Deux-Mers white: mostly Sauvignon Blanc grown on asterite limestone in Dardenac, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeast, then aged a year in oak. The result has more body and grip than the crisp, everyday Sauvignon you'd expect from this appellation, closer to something you'd pour instead of a light red.
