Trousseau is the Jura's other native red, a shade darker and spicier than Ploussard, and Le Ginglet is Tony Bornard's lighter take on it. The vines grow on gravel and red marl. The wine sits on its skins for about three weeks, then rests some 15 months in large old oak casks that add texture without any taste of wood. Expect wild strawberry, red cherry and rose petal, with a herbal, slightly resinous edge.
